Auditions will be held during the month of March 2012.

 

Sudents can prepare and submit a recording of their auditon

by CD or an MP3 file.

Audition Requirements

Brass and Woodwinds and String Bass

• 2 Major Scales - 2 octaves
• 2 Minor Scales – 2 octaves
• Concert Bb Chromatic Scale, 2 octaves
• Perform two contrasting short pieces, one which demonstrates your lyrical expression and one which demonstrates your technical ability.
• Both pieces should best demonstrates your abilities to perform repertoire of an advanced high school/university level concert band.

Recording your audition

• Make the recording of highest quality possible. 
• CD and/or MP3 files are accepted. 
• Please write your name on the recording with your submission. 
• Do not digitally alter a recording or splice during a scale, arpeggio, piece or etude.

Fees:

$10.00 Application/Audition Fee. Due with the application.

$300.00 yearly membership fee for successful applicants to be paid in the fall.

Fees cover:

Director cost and expenses, clinicians, rehearsal and performance facility rentals, music, equipment, social events and a T-Shirt.
